Margot Townsend Inc. began their relationship with the Smithsonian Institution in the mid 1980’s with the catalog division, and became an official licensee in September, 1991.

We have over 150 items in the collection, including Smithsonian’s most revered icon, the Hope Diamond. We spent several hours in a special vault to record all details for accurate product development of the piece that would become our first reproduction. This item has recently marked its 20-year anniversary, and it has one of the most successful jewelry replicas in the world.
